Always in love with drama from an early age (stage-type drama, not so much the emotional stuff), Dave was blessed years ago to have the chance to start writing sketches and full length plays for his church. With a talented ensemble of actors, tech, directors and patient pastoral staff, Dave wrote a number of productions (he even played the lead in many---read: spotlight hog), which were well received. Many were subsequently published and several won a few national Playwriting awards. He also served on the Product Development Team for Lillenas Drama for 4 years.
He continues to write sketches for his church, Skit Guys.com, and pretty much anyone who will let him.
Dave also serves as a volunteer working with youth at his church, and has created and led several youth related productions as well.
Recently retired from corporate training, he serves as a volunteer Helpline Specialist for NAMI, and several other organizations.
Dave is an above average husband and father to several “fur children”. Dave and his wife, Jill, make their home in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
